After further testing from the clinic, the OPP have been informed that Bain had ingested a large amount of poison.
WATERFORD - Norfolk OPP are investigating a family dog being poisoned at Bruce Street in Waterford.
In a video posted on the OPP West Region Twitter page yesterday, Constable Ed Sanchuk says the investigation began on March 16th.
"The OPP received a call from the victim advising that their two-year-old French Mastiff named Bain was rushed to a local veterinary hospital where their dog had been sadly pronounced deceased."
After further testing from the clinic, the OPP have been informed that Bain had ingested a large amount of poison.
"I spoke to the owner of Bain and the owner is still visibly upset, (and) physically upset with what's happened to their family pet. So, we're asking anyone in the community that has information, please pick up that phone and call us."
