The OPP would like to remind all drivers to inspect their vehicles before hitting the road following two wheel off collisions in our area.
OXFORD COUNTY - The OPP have sent out a video reminding truck drivers to do daily inspections before venturing out.
The message comes after two separate wheel off collisions in the span of a couple of hours last week in Oxford and Middlesex.
Constable Henk Ruitenbeek says flying truck or passenger vehicle tires can be deadly.
"This causes major issues because as they roll off, they either go into the ditch, strike another vehicle or they hop the curb and come into oncoming traffic and they have even killed people as well. These are very devastating collisions for us to investigate and these are issues that are usually very preventable."
Constable Ruitenbeek says thankfully nobody was injured in the collisions last week.
