CANADA - Facing a potential disruption in the supply chain, Ottawa has done an about face on the vaccine mandate for Canadian Truckers.
Last November, the Federal Government announced that all truck drivers would need to be fully vaccinated by January 15. According to reports from the Canadian Press, the Government has changed those requirements and Canadian truckers will not have to quarantine if they're unvaccinated or have received only one dose.
The last minute change was made over fear on disruptions to the supply chain as all industries struggle with staff shortages.
This only applies to Canadians. American truckers will be turned away at the border this weekend if they haven't been inoculated, which could cause supply chain issues.
