The Tillsonburg Kinsmen will be hosting the annual Easter Egg Hunt in Memorial Park this Saturday.
TILLSONBURG - For over three decades the Tillsonburg Kinsmen have been organizing the town's Easter Egg hunt. This year they are back with over 170kg of chocolate waiting to be collected.
Past president Cedric Tomico says despite the huge amount of chocolate it never seems like too much.
"It tends to be a lot of setup for a very quick, quick hunt. The kids are actually very good at collecting the chocolate eggs so, it goes by very quickly. So, don't be late."
The fun begins at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Park in Tillsonburg. The Kinsmen are joined by the Kinettes who will be selling food at the event.
Tomico says the Kinsmen are bringing back 'Equipment Alley' from last year's very successful hunt.
"Equipment alley features some farm equipment, some construction equipment, maybe some emergency equipment. Our local fire department will be there showcasing their new ladder truck."
Along with the machines, Tomico also hopes the Easter Bunny will make an appearance with his friends.
The Kinsmen are working with the Helping Hand Food Bank with a food drive at the event. Everyone is encouraged to bring non-perishable food to the event to donate.
