A pair of Oxford County brothers are preparing for barbecue glory in Las Vegas. Flint and Randy McLay will be participating in the World Food Championships barbecuing up ribs, pork shoulder and brisket. Flint says by taking top honours at a barbecue competition in New Hamburg, they won a spot in the Vegas competition. "Last year was his first time out, it's a big event put on kind of by the Food Network; the fellow that does "Man vs. Food", Adam Richman, he's the host of the show. There'll be 450 teams there. Total prize purse is $300,000, we have an option to win $50,000 in the barbecue category alone". Flint says while he and his brother do experiment making sauces and rubs, they are planning on sticking to the tried and true when it comes to the World Food Championships. The competition is scheduled for November 7-10, 2013.
