This is a chance for Oxford County residents to provide input on where you think the County should spend your money.
Oxford County is asking residents to take part in an online survey regarding service priorities for the 2022 budget year.
Warden Larry Martin says this is your chance to provide input on where the County should spend your money.
"The survey asks questions such as, do you think we should increasing services in this level, should we decrease it in this one and it is all broken down by department."
Information collected from the budget survey will help provide a better understanding of how well municipal services are understood, how they are valued, and which ones are a priority for residents.
Martin says they didn't do the survey last year because of the pandemic, however they had a tremendous response, the year prior.
"There was over 700 people who responded to that survey, which are really good numbers when you look at the population of Oxford County. There comments were noted and presented at council at the time of the budget."
Special Council meetings to deliberate the County’s 2022 Budget will take place:
Wednesday, November 17 – 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Wednesday, November 24 – 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
You can fill out the survey online right now at the Oxford County web site.
