"Rob Walton served Oxford County and its residents for over 17 years and we thank him for his contributions during that time."
Oxford County is going to have to find a new Director of Public Works.
Robert Walton is no longer employed with the County after 17 years on the job. CAO for the County Peter Crockett issued the following statement on the matter.
"Rob Walton served Oxford County and its residents for over 17 years and we thank him for his contributions during that time. As a matter of policy, we do not disclose personal information about our employees; I can only confirm that Rob is no longer employed here.
In the months ahead there will be considerable effort towards recruiting a new Director of Public Works.
In the meantime, working with the talented Public Works managers and staff we will continue to deliver quality services to the residents of Oxford County. This includes an ambitious 2017 agenda with many initiatives to enhance our community including 100% Renewable Energy, Zero Waste, capital infrastructure renewal, and source water protection, to name a few."
