The Oxford Creates Art Expo will feature 33 artists and eight authors at Craigowan Golf Club this Saturday and Sunday.
WOODSTOCK - The Oxford Creates Art Expo is returning after two years off.
This year is the 16th Art Expo and it's taking place this weekend at Craigowan Golf Club. The event will be open to the public for free from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p,m,. tomorrow and 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Mary-Anne Murphy is the Cultural Coordinator at Oxford Creative Connections and she gives insight on what you can expect at the show.
"We have 33 artists and eight authors that are going to be vendors this weekend and a wide selection artwork. We have paintings, pottery, sculptures, jewelry, some woodworking, wood carving, some fibre arts, and quite a selection of different types of paintings and photography. It's a really nice show and the benefit of it is you actually get to meet the artist."
Murphy also mentions the fact that this is an opportunity to support local artists, which is the focus Oxford Creative Connections. It is a nonprofit group supported by County Council to promote art locally.
The Oxford Creates website has even more information with a preview of some of the art and a list of artists that will likely be at the show. Unfortunately however, not all artists will be able to attend the expo.
