Oxford OPP have a suspect in custody and are apologizing for using a false name after a break and enter to a rural property in Zorra Township.
ZORRA TOWNSHIP - Oxford OPP have identified the woman responsible for a break enter and theft at a rural property in Zorra Township.
The theft happened on September 17th. In the initial media release the OPP identified the woman charged, which later turned out to be false.
After investigating police have arrested and charged the actual suspect. She is 29 year old Sabrina Wellar of Ingersoll. Wellar has been charged the following.
- Theft of Motor Vehicle
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime - Under $5,000
- Break and Enter a Place
- Personation with intent to avoid arrest, prosecution or obstruct justice (Identify Fraud)
- Obstruct Peace Officer
The investigation is continuing and the OPP apologizes to the woman who was inaccurately named in the September 18, 2018 initial media release and for the inconvenience it caused her or any other affected persons.
