Oxford OPP Briefs - Thursday, December 29

There's been a pair of domestic disturbances in the last 24 hours as well as ongoing break and enter and stolen vehicle investigations from Christmas and Boxing Day.

TILLSONBURG - A domestic disturbance was reported in Tillsonburg.

The Oxford OPP attended an address in Tillsonburg around 3 a.m. this morning, and now a 47-year-old London resident faces multiple charges. 

They have been charged with spousal assault, domestic mischief and uttering threats of death or harm.

The accused has been released from police custody, but they will appear in court at a future date.

NORWICH - A 30-year-old of Norwich Township faces several charges after a domestic disturbance.

In the early morning hours, members of the Oxford OPP were dispatched to a Norwich address, where the accused was charged.

They face charges of spousal assault with a weapon, break and enter, theft under $5000 and domestic mischief.

The 30-year-old was not released from custody and instead was held for bail.

NORWICH - A vehicle was stolen in Norwich.

On Boxing Day, the Oxford OPP received the report of the stolen vehicle, and at around 11:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to an address on Airport Road.

It was determined that unknown individuals gained access to the property sometime during the overnight hours and  proceeded to steal a 2020 white, Dodge Ram pickup truck.

The investigation is ongoing.

SOUTH-WEST OXFORD - There's an ongoing investigation in South-West Oxford from a break and enter on Christmas day.

Around 3:30 that afternoon, members of the Oxford OPP were dispatched to an address on Union Road after the break and enter had just occurred.

At this time, it is unknown what was taken, however police determined that the suspects gained access to the residence by kicking in a door.
