Oxford OPP Investigating Attempted Armed Robbery Near Ingersoll

Officers responded at close to 4 o'clock this morning after two men, who were believed to be armed, threatened a transport truck driver and tried to steal the trailer. They fled the scene after being unsuccessful and the driver was not injured.

OXFORD COUNTY- The Oxford County OPP are asking for the public's help after an attempted armed robbery at the eastbound Onroute Service Centre, east of Ingersoll.

Officers responded to a report in the early hours at approximately 3:55 this morning after two male suspects threatened a transport truck driver and attempted to steal the trailer. 

The suspects, believed to be armed, were unsuccessful and fled the scene. There were no injuries.

The two men are described as brown-skinned and over 6 feet tall. No other descriptors are available,  If you've observed these two individuals or were in the area at or around the time of the offence, please contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
