Another reminder is going out after the Oxford OPP received a report of fraud in Tillsonburg.
TILLSONBURG - An online fraud from Tillsonburg is under investigation.
The Oxford OPP were made aware of the incident last Friday at 11 a.m. after someone claimed to be defrauded through an online job ad. The victim said they learned of a work from home job opportunity, communicated through a texting app, and after a couple of days and sending e-transfers, which cost just under $1,000, they called police, suspecting a scam.
Police want to remind the public to be careful sending money for anything they find online.
