TILLSONBURG - The Oxford OPP are investigating a scam in Tillsonburg.
A business in the Town has called the police because a large payment was redirected to a scammer. Yesterday at 7 p.m., the Oxford OPP were notified about the incident, and the business thought they were sending a payment to an account they previously sent to. It turned out the name had slightly changed, and the business has been scammed out of over $100,000.
The investigation is in the very early stages, and updates will be released once more information becomes available.
