Illicit drugs and an impaired driver have been taken off the streets in Oxford County.
BLANDFORD-BLENHEIM - Oxford County OPP have gotten drugs off the streets.
Last Thursday, officers were on general patrol on the 401 in Blandford-Blenheim when they noticed a vehicle driving erratically. A traffic stop was conducted, and upon searching the vehicle, approximately 500 grams of suspected cocaine was seized, with the approximate value of $50,000. Cell phones, packaging material, and a weigh scale were also seized.
As a result, two women from Sarnia, a 52-year-old and 40-year-old are facing a count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine. The driver of the vehicle who was the 52-year-old was also charged with operation while impaired by drugs. On top of the charges, there was a 90-day license suspension and 7-day vehicle impoundment.
Both women have been released from custody, and will appear in a Woodstock Courtroom on November 18th, 2025.
