Oxford Public Health's taking new healthy eating campaign to Pintrest.
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford Public Health is introducing a new campaign to provide tips on healthy eating for active residents.
They have launched a new webpage and Food and Sports Pinterest board.
Registered Dietitian with Oxford Public Health Katie Neil says the idea came about during their Healthy Communities session last March where stakeholders were asked about a recreational food policy for the County.
Neil says the new Food and Sports webpage will offer information each month including tips on fueling the body for sport along with healthy recipes.
"This past month we have featured balanced snacking and talking about eating kind of on a schedule. We have a few different ideas and we kind of talk about different macro nutrients needed for sport and physical activities such as carbohydrates, protein and fat. You can find out about that right now up on our website."
