It's $6,924,375 total with $4,361,875 for Oxford County and $2,562,500 for the City of Woodstock.
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford County is set to receive an investment to help with roads and build new homes.
The Ontario government is giving a total of $6,924,375 to help with the construction of up to 4,749 new homes in the County. The money is coming through the Housing-Enabling Core Servicing Stream under the Municipal Housing Infrastructure Program.
Oxford County will get $4,361,875, which will help with the reconstruction of Oxford Road 35 from Oxford Road 59 to Oxford Road 54 enabling up to 2,566 homes. The City of Woodstock will see $2,562,500, which will urbanize Pittock Park Road, enabling up to 2,183 houses.
Oxford MPP, Ernie Hardeman says this is great news for the County.
"This funding is wonderful news for Oxford. By offering additional financial support to our municipal partners, our government is helping cover the costs of housing-enabling infrastructure and other expenses that facilitate community growth."
These projects will unlock more housing opportunities and support economic growth in Oxford.
