Oxford County is getting an increase in land ambulance funding, along with funds from the Dedicated Offload Nurses Program.
OXFORD - The Ford Government is investing $9,569,409 for emergency medical care in Oxford County.
The province is increasing our land ambulance funding by 16 percent, which works out to $9,460,209 for this year.
Oxford will also receive $109,200 from Ontario's Dedicated Offload Nurses Program. This will help hire more nurses and other health professionals, to offload some of the ambulance patients in hospital emergency departments.
Oxford MPP Ernie Hardeman says these are important investments for our emergency health services.
"These funds will help ensure residents can access the urgent care they need, when they need it most. It’s another example of our government’s commitment to strengthening health care in communities across Ontario."
