WOODSTOCK - Oxwood Connections was in the holiday giving spirit at their recent networking breakfast.
They handed out a total of $4,500 to the Operation Sharing Christmas Place, DASO, Salvation Army and the local CAS on Thursday morning.
Treasurer of Oxwood Connections Glen Ferrell says everyone was really happy with the donations.
"They were overwhelmed, we have helped in the past with Operation Sharing and Christmas Pace because we did $1,500 last year to them, so it's nice to give back to the community with which you live in, support within."
Oxwood Connections raised the money through their membership fees. They gave the Salvation Army $1,000, Operation Sharing/Christmas Card was given $1,000 in gift cards and they will provide $500 to purchase some turkeys for Christmas dinner and the provided DASO with a $1,000 donation a the breakfast on Thursday.
Oxwood Connections is a local business networking group that meets for breakfast every Thursday morning at the Sally Creek Golf Course. Ferell says they are accepting new members.
