The recently renovated Pete Lavoie Ball Diamonds in Paris will be getting some new bleachers.
PARIS - The Paris Industrial Hockey League has donated $5,000 to help pay for new bleachers at the recently renovated Pete Lavoie Ball Diamonds at Lions Park.
Representatives from the Paris Parks Foundation were happy to receive the Cheque in Paris on Friday. Outgoing president of the Paris Industrial Hockey League, John Fazekas, and incoming representative, Sam Goodfellow, presented the donation. Director of Parks and Facilities for the County of Brant Kathy Ballantyne says the money will be put to good use.
"We are so pleased to receive this donation. It takes us one step closer to our goal for the Pete Lavoie Ball Diamonds. We also want to acknowledge and offer special thanks to John Fazekas for 35 years of volunteer service organizing men's hockey in Paris."
The fundraising campaign for the Pete Lavoie Ball Diamonds is now 80% complete.
