A $1,000 donation from the Perth Dairy Producer Committee will purchase milk coupons for pregnant women and young families.
PERTH COUNTY - The Perth Dairy Producer Committee has donated $1,000 to the Perth District Health Unit.
Communications Manager with the PDHU Rebecca Hill tells Heart FM what the money will be used for.
"The health unit received a $1,000 donation from the Perth Dairy Producers, they are a committee that represents 360 dairy producers in Perth County and we use this money this $1,000 donation, it goes towards purchasing milk coupons, which we give to pregnant women and young families to help support them purchasing milk."
Public Health Nurse Mary Anne Lealess says it’s amazing to receive continued funding for such a vital program.
“This donation will provide Perth County families greater access to nutritious food and will help support healthy growth and development in children.”
