Pfizer Clinic in Tillsonburg on Thursday and Friday

Wednesday, 2 June 2021 at 14:48

SWPH is encouraging families to sign up for a Pfizer clinic where kids 12+ can get vaccinated this Thursday and Friday. They still have around 100 appointments left to fill.

TILLSONBURG - Southwestern Public Health is encouraging families to sign up for a Pfizer clinic in Tillsonburg this week.

Anyone 12+ can register to get vaccinated at the two day clinic this Thursday and Friday at the Tillsonburg Community Centre clinic site. The clinic in Tillsonburg normally offers the Moderna vaccine, but they're bringing in Pfizer this week to get more kids vaccinated.

Reserve Superintendent with the Oxford County Paramedic Services Sean Van Alphen says while most vaccination clinics are booked solid for the next few weeks, Tillsonburg is in the enviable position of having available appointments locally, some as soon as today.

"It's been amazing to see so many folks from Tillsonburg and area through the clinic doors over the past month. Now that every age group over 12 is eligible, I want to see the rest of you. With no travel, no line ups, and no wait times, it is a smooth and efficient process."

Individuals are encouraged to book online at www.covidvaccinelm.ca or by calling 226-289-3560. There are currently dozens of appointments available between now and June 11, including more than 100 youth appointments on Thursday and Friday of this week.
