The Braves lost Game 1 of the Schmalz Cup semifinals.
PJHL - It was a tough loss for the Tavistock Braves.
Tavistock suffered a 3-2 loss to the Lakeshore Canadiens in Game 1 of the Schmalz Cup semifinal yesterday. Lakeshore scored twice in the first period and once early in the second. Carter Arseneau and Ryan McKellar scored for the Braves later in the second, but they were unable to score again to tie the game and force overtime.
No goals were scored in the third, but it was still an intense period with seven penalties total. Tavistock accounted for four of them and Lakeshore took responsibility for the other three.
Game 2 of the best-of-seven series will be taking place at the Tavistock and District Recreation Centre tomorrow night with a 7:30 p.m. puck drop.
