All of Oxford County's Junior C hockey teams celebrated victories on Friday.
PJHL - It was an exciting start to the PJHL post-season for Oxford County's Junior C hockey teams.
The Woodstock Navy Vets started the PJHL post-season off on the right foot, celebrating two victories over Dorchester. They beat the Dolphins 3-1 on Friday and 7-2 yesterday and the two teams will face off in Game 3 of their best-of-seven series in Dorchester this evening. The puck drop is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. at the FlightExec Centre.
The Norwich Merchants doubled the New Hamburg Firebirds 4-2 on Friday, but they did suffer a 3-2 loss on Saturday. Game 3 of that series is scheduled for Wednesday in New Hamburg.
The Tavistock Braves shutout the Paris Titans 4-0 on Friday and celebrated an 8-3 victory on Saturday. They will try to keep that winning streak going when the two teams meet again in Paris for Game 3 at the Brant Sports Complex tonight. That game should begin at 7:30 p.m.
The Thamesford Trojans celebrated three wins in the Yeck Division over the weekend. They beat the Aylmer Spitfires 3-2 in overtime on Friday, 4-2 on Saturday and 4-2 yesterday. Game 4 is scheduled for Wednesday evening in Aylmer.
