Woodstock beat Norwich 4-1 at Nor-Del Arena last night.
PJHL - It was a great night for the Navy Vets, but a rough one for the Merchants at Nor-Del Arena.
Woodstock celebrated a 4-1 win over Norwich in Game 1 of their semifinal series last night. The Vets scored three goals in the last 4:30 minutes of the second period, to erase a 1-0 deficit. Tyler Bouck also finished the night with 33 saves to help secure the win.
Woodstock is now leading the best-of-seven series 1-0 and Game 2 will be taking place at Southwood Arena tomorrow night, with a 7:45 p.m.
The New Hamburg Firebirds beat the Hespeler Shamrocks 5-2 in the second Doherty Division playoff semifinal matchup last night. New Hamburg will host Game 2 of that series on Friday as well.
Meanwhile in the Yeck Division, the Thamesford Trojans will also start their semifinal series against the Exeter Hawks on Friday. The game will takeover the Thamesford Area Recreation Centre with a 7:30 p.m. start time.
