The Norwich Merchants will face the Wellesley Applejacks in the Doherty Division semifinals, after they celebrated a 6-2 win over the Paris Mounties last night.
NORWICH - The Norwich Merchants will be moving on to the next round of the PJHL playoffs.
They celebrated 6-2 win over the Paris Mounties at Nor-Del Arena last night. This means the Merchants won the best-of-seven quarterfinal series 4-1 and they will now face the Wellesley Applejacks in the semifinals.
Meanwhile, the Woodstock Navy Vets and the Tavistock Braves will face off in Game 5 of their quarterfinal series tonight. The series is tied at two-games-a-piece and the winner will face the New Hamburg Firebirds in the next round.
Tonight's game will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Tavistock and District Recreation Centre.
