The Woodstock Navy Vets have something to prove in order to keep their current 2-1 lead in the quarter final series against the Merchants.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Navy Vets have the upper hand in the PJHL Quarterfinal series against Norwich, leading 2 games to 1.
Navy Vets President, Devon Young says each game against the Merchants has been extremely tight.
"I don't think that we ever thought this was going to be easy, between first and seventh, all of these teams are good and we have had close games with all of them, overtime games with all of them, we knew this was going to be a test."
The Vets continue to prove that they play their best on home ice, and with game 4 away tonight the Vets have something to prove.
Young says the true test of a team is how they perform on the road.
"I think any time you have a series like this, or any series in hockey really, your not really that far ahead until you win a game on the road. We haven't done that yet, and I think that is the next big step in this series, and hopefully we can take care of that on Friday night."
Both wins for the Vets came in overtime, and despite the Vets holding a 2-1 lead, either team could be up 3-0 in the series. Woodstock won the first game 3-Norwich won game two 3-1, and the Vets took the third 4-3.
The series heads to Norwich tonight, game time is 8pm, and it returns to Woodstock for game 5 on Saturday, the puck drops at 7:45pm at Southwood Arena.
