The Woodstock Navy Vets remain on top of the Doherty Division standings after celebrating two wins over the weekend.
PJHL - It was a good weekend for the Navy Vets, but a rough one for the Merchants.
Woodstock was able to beat the Hespeler Shamrocks 6-5 in overtime on Friday. Davin Gray helped secure the win, scoring his third goal of the night 36 seconds into overtime. The Vets also shutout the Paris Titans 4-0 Saturday night, with Tyler Bouck finishing the night with 27 saves.
Norwich on the other hand suffered a 9-2 loss to the Tavistock Braves on Friday and fell to the Wellesley Applejacks 4-1 on Saturday.
The Braves also suffered a 3-2 overtime loss to the New Hamburg Firebirds on Saturday.
The Navy Vets remain on top of the Doherty Division standings with 57 points, only one point ahead of the New Hamburg Firebirds. The Braves sit in third place with 45 points and the Merchants are in fourth place with 34 points.
Meanwhile in the Yeck Division, the Thamesford Trojans celebrated a 5-2 win over the Port Stanley Sailors on Friday, but also fell to the North Middlesex Stars 5-1 on Saturday.
The Trojans remain in second place in the division standings with 53 points, behind the Mount Brydges Bulldogs with 56 points.
