The Woodstock Navy Vets suffered two losses over the long weekend. They fell 7-4 to the Norwich Merchants on Friday and 5-4 in overtime to the Wellesley Applejacks yesterday.
PJHL - It was a tough long weekend for the Woodstock Navy Vets.
The Vets suffered a 7-4 loss to the Norwich Merchants on Friday. Rhylan Warford, Davin Gray, Brodie Kearns, and Cole Dann scored the goals for Woodstock.
The Vets also suffered a 5-4 overtime loss to the Wellesley Applejacks yesterday. Graeme Noye finished the game with 27 saves for Woodstock.
The Applejacks beat the Merchants 5-2 at Nor-Del Arena on Sunday.
The Tavistock Braves crushed the New Hamburg Firebirds 4-1 on Friday and they were doubled by the Applejacks 4-2 in Wellesley on Saturday.
The Firebirds are currently leading the Doherty Division standings with 63 points. They're followed by the Applejacks with 60 points, the Merchants with 53 points, the Braves with 44 points, the Navy Vets with 36 points, and the Hespeler Shamrocks and Paris Mounties with 14 points each.
In the Yeck Division, the Thamesford Trojans suffered a 4-2 loss to the Dorchester Dolphins on Friday but doubled the North Middlesex Stars 4-2 on Saturday. Thamesford is currently sitting in third place in the division standings with 51 points, behind the Mount Brydges Bulldogs with 54 points and the North Middlesex Stars with 55 points.
