Pierre Poilievre will meet with Conservative MPs and senators in Ottawa today after winning the leadership race over the weekend.
OTTAWA - Pierre Poilievre is now the leader of the federal Conservative Party.
He won the leadership race with a blowout victory on Saturday.
He will address his national caucus for the first time today. He's going to meet with Conservative senators and Members of Parliament in Ottawa. Poilievre needs to decide which MPs will serve in his shadow cabinet as government critics, and reach out to the MPs who didn't support him in the leadership race.
The House of Commons will resume on September 20th.
