Police Briefs: Includes Teens Attacking a Good Samaritan in Woodstock and an Arrest Made in a Break and Enter
WOODSTOCK - A good Samaritan was assaulted by a group of teens after trying to get them to stop disturbing a local restaurant.
Police say the 48 year old man approached the group on Friday night at Huron and Dundas Street.
The teens were causing a disturbance by banging on the windows of the business and the good Samaritan told the kids to knock it off and continued on his way.
According to police the teens followed the man and knocked him down from behind and hit him in the back of the head before taking off.
The man received a small bump on the back of his head and was in pain when he made his way back to the restaurant to call police.
He did not need medical attention.

A 41 year old from Woodstock is facing a number of charges after getting caught in a sticky situation.
Woodstock Police were called to a business on Clarke and Nellis Street around 2 a.m on Sunday after getting word of a break and enter in progress.
When they arrived police say they found the man stuck in some bars protecting the windows of the business.
Brett Shaefer was arrested at the scene and charged with break and enter, theft and possession of property obtained by crime.
