Police Briefs: Include Drug Bust in Woodstock and Teen Charged after Early Morning Crash.
Three people from Woodstock are facing several drug charges after police executed three search warrants in the city.
Police say they entered the homes after an investigation by the Woodstock Police Service Criminal Intelligence/Drug Enforcement Unit.
As a result they arrested a 34 year male and a 33 year old male and charged them with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime and possession of a prohibited weapon.
A 25 year old woman was also charged with possession of a controlled substance and prohibited weapon.
Woodstock police say the search warrants produced about $4,000 worth of prescription drugs and cash.
Nobody was injured after an early morning crash on Highway 401 westbound near Oxford Road 3.
Oxford OPP were called shortly after 5:30 a.m. after a Ford Mustang slammed into the back of a transport truck and spun out into the ditch following the crash.
Police say the driver of the Ford was impaired and arrested at the scene.
18 year old Shannon Delaney of Woodstock has been charged with impaired driving and operating over 80 mgs. of alcohol in blood.
