Includes fake money in Dorchester, Raunchy Graffiti in Stratford and an Oxford County man arrested in Elgin.
DORCHESTER - Police are warning the public to watch out for counterfeit money circulating in the area.
Two businesses called the OPP last week after they were given two fake $100 American bills. The commercial businesses are located in the 3300 block of Dorchester Road.
The Middlesex County OPP continues to investigate these incidents. All suspected counterfeit U.S. bank notes must be turned over to police. Timely reporting helps police and prosecutors bring counterfeiters to justice.
STRATFORD - Stratford Police are investigating after a case of mischief at the Hamlet Public School.
Police say the face plate to the entrance key pay on the south side of the school was smashed and the school was tagged with graffiti. The damage happened sometime between Sunday afternoon and Monday morning. School staff are still working to remove the images plastered on the wall. The images that were spray painted on the school featured drawings of male genitalia. Total damage to the school is about $1,000.

PERTH COUNTY - A 39 year old from Winnipeg is facing a number of charges after trying to avoid a R.I.D.E program in Perth County.
Police say officers noticed a sedan pull out of the row of stopped vehicles during a R.I.D.E check on Queen Street East in St. Mary's on Friday night. The sedan turned into the Independent grocers parking driveway and stopped on the parking lot of the closed store. Officers caught up with the man who had exited the vehicle and they say he failed two intoxilyzer breath tests.
The man was charged with driving while ability impaired by alcohol, driving with more than 80mgs of alcohol in 100ml of blood, and fail to comply with undertaking.
STRATFORD - A 23 year old man from Stratford has been charged with careless driving and possession after a crash on Ontario Street.
Police say the man drove into the concrete and brick median separating the East/West bound Ontario St traffic on Friday night. Damage to the vehicle is estimated at $18,000. Police say the man provided a breath sample and blew in the warn range, so his license was suspended for 3 days and his car was seized. He was also charged with careless driving and possession under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act.
ELGIN - A man from Oxford County has been charged after police responded to a report of someone breaking into a vehicle in Elgin County.
Police were called out to Talbot Line in the Heritage Line area around 10 a.m. on Saturday morning. The complainant said a man had attempted to steal their vehicle and then fled on foot when confronted.
Police were able to locate the man a short time later and arrested and charged a 20 year old Oxford County with theft of motor vehicle and possession of property obtained by crime as well as public mischief.
He was released on a promise to appear.
