For today only, $2 from every Teen Burger sold at A&W will go to MS Canada.

OXFORD - You can enjoy a delicious burger and support MS research at the same time.

It's Burgers to Beat MS Day at A&W locations across Canada. Susan Senecal, the President and CEO of A&W Canada, explains how it works.

"On Thursday August 20th, $2 from every Teen Burger sold will go directly to MS Canada to support their important work including the Knowledge Network, Peer Support, and world class MS research. I think we've done a lot, we have learned a lot, and we have more to learn as things progress."

She says this is the 18th year of the campaign and it's a cause that hits close to home.

"It's called Canada's disease be cause we have one of the highest incidences of MS in the world. It made sense for a Canadian company like A&W to support a cause that is important to so many Canadians."

We have three A&W locations in Oxford County; one in Woodstock (451 Norwich Ave), one in Ingersoll (170 Culloden Road), and one in Tillsonburg (533 Broadway Street).

According to the A&W website, the Teen Burger is a grass-fed beef patty topped with real cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce, onion, tomato, pickles and Teen sauce. It's served on a toasted sesame seed bun.

You can also donate to the Burgers to Beat MS campaign online here.

Susan Senecal called the Heart FM studio to chat with Dan Henry on Thursday, August 20th. You can listen to the full interview below:
