Police Week celebrations hit downtown Woodstock on Thursday. A display of officers from Woodstock Police, the OPP, RCMP and even Military Police will be on hand. Woodstock Police Constable Steve McEwen says they're hoping members of the public will come out to talk to the officers. "We want the public to feel comfortable with the police. We want them, if they have a reason to call us, not to feel that they can't." The event runs from Noon till 5PM Thursday, coinciding with the opening day of the Woodstock Downtown Farmers Market. The Thursday market will have extended hours this year, and will be open each week from Noon till 5PM.
