The Norfolk OPP say a couple met up with a man who wanted to buy something that was posted on Facebook Marketplace, but he ran away without paying. He displayed a firearm when the couple tried chasing after him.
WATERFORD - The Norfolk OPP is looking for a suspect as it investigates a robbery in Waterford.
Police say a couple met up with a man in Lingwood Park at around 8:30 p.m. last night. They believed he was going to buy something that was posted on Facebook Marketplace.
Officers say the man grabbed the item and tried running away without paying. The couple ran after him, but the man displayed a firearm and kept on running. He was last seen heading east on Lingwood Drive, going into a wooded area.
Police say he's a white man who stands at around 5'6" with a thin build and short buzzed hair. He's believed to be in his 20s and he was wearing a black hoodie, black pants and a blue face mask at the time of the incident. He was also carrying a shoulder bag that was stretched across his chest.
