Woodstock Police say they're prepared to lay charges if you are caught leaving your pet in a hot vehicle alone. This comes after several complaints were made to the detachment over the past few days. Police say that in this extreme heat, the interior temperature of any vehicle reaches limits that pose serious risk of distress, injury and even death to these family pets and they should be left at home while you're running errands. They say should circumstances warrant it, criminal charges for Causing Unnecessary Suffering to the animal could be laid.
