Stratford Police had to call in the bomb squad, after someone found a suspicious looking water bottle.
STRATFORD - A potential bomb threat was reported to police in Stratford.
On Thursday officers responded to a suspicious bottle located at the base of a tree at Queen Street and Lakeside Drive. The bottle was wrapped in white tape with what appeared to be a wick attached to the plastic cap.
London police's bomb disposal unit was brought in to remove the bottle and although the bottle did look suspicious no other evidence was present to indicate it was an explosive device.
The contents of the plastic bottle were examined and nothing in the bottle was determined to be dangerous nor did it contain and explosive materials.
The Stratford Police Service would like to ensure that the public was not in danger at any time as a result of this occurrence.
