Environment Canada is investigating to see if a tornado touched down in Drumbo last night.
DRUMBO - Environment Canada is currently investigating to see if a tornado touched down in Drumbo last night.
They are looking at some still photo's of funnel clouds taken in the Drumbo area.
Meteorologist Geoff Coulson tells Heart FM at this time the tornado is not confirmed but they are investigating.
"We are looking at this point to get more information from people in the area to corroborate if their actually was damage in the area. So we have these sightings of funnel clouds and possible tornadoes but no indication of any actual damage in the area. If anyone was in Drumbo or in the area last night and did see something or did have some damage they can send us an email at our special storm reporting email address storm.ontario@ec.gc.ca."
Coulson adds they are also investigating an unconfirmed tornado in Lucan that did cause some damage last night.
As for the Severe Thunderstorm warning, he is anticipating it will end around noon today and the main concern today is rainfall. We could also get some more rain and thunderstorms this afternoon and that activity could be severe as well.
