Marie-Philip Poulin will be working for the Montreal Canadiens as a part-time player development consultant.
MONTREAL - The captain of the Canadian women's hockey team is joining the Montreal Canadiens.
Marie-Philip Poulin has signed on as a player development consultant for the NHL team. The Canadiens say Poulin will help improve the players skills through on-ice and video sessions.
This is a part-time position, so she will be able to continue playing for Canada while working for the Habs.
Poulin is 31-years-old and she's a four-time Olympic medalist. She most recently won a gold medal win in Beijing this winter, alongside Oxford County's Ella Shelton.
