Following the ombudsman's report, PC house leader Steve Clark has requested an investigation of the province's largest utility.
Local MPP Ernie Hardeman and his Progressive Conservatives have asked the OPP to investigate Hydro One.
Hardeman tells Heart FM, "I think it was a pretty damning report for Hydro One and they need to be held accountable for what they do."
PC house leader Steve Clark has asked for an investigation following the ombudsman's report earlier this week from Andre Marin. In the report Marin says he was misled and lied to as he looked into billing problems affecting more than 10 000 customers. Hardeman tells Heart FM after looking into the ombudsman's report it is pretty clear a police investigation is necessary to look into the allegations the province's largest utility misled the government about the extent of billing problems created by a new computer system.
Hardeman adds they are still waiting for a response from the OPP to see if an investigation will happen. Hydro One CEO Carmine Marcello insists the utility did nothing wrong.
