The investment will help expand services for sexual assault victims at the Oxford County Community Health Centre
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford County will see money to prevent and address gender-based violence.
The Ontario government will be investing $459,830 over three years in Oxford County Community Health Centre. The money will help expand the Oxford Sexual Assault Services that support victims of sexual assault.
Oxford MPP, Ernie Hardeman says how much this will benefit the community.
"This is good news for Oxford and some of our most vulnerable residents. Ensuring funding for programs that support survivors of sexual assault helps provide safety, healing, and a path forward for those who need it."
This investment is part of the province's actions to respond to the violence, build safer and healthier communities, as well as support the well-being of women.
Our government is investing almost $460k in the Oxford County Community Health Centre to help them expand their sexual assault services. Survivors of sexual assault - among Oxford's most vulnerable - deserve to have safety, healing, and a path forward.https://t.co/SdxiKYV1EX
