INGERSOLL - The Ford Government is financially backing the new ArcelorMittal Tailored Blanks location in Ingersoll.
It's going to cost over $69 million total and MPP Ernie Hardeman says the province is contributing over $4.1 million from the Ontario Together Trade Fund.
"Our government is stepping up for the businesses in our community who’ve been directly affected by U.S. tariffs. ArcelorMittal’s investment will help them adapt, stay competitive and continue creating good jobs in these uncertain times, all while helping make Ontario’s economy more competitive, resilient and self-reliant."
Construction is currently underway for the 154,000 square foot facility, in hopes of finishing by December 2026. It will create 28 new jobs and protect 145 existing jobs throughout Oxford once its completed.
ArcelorMittal Tailored Blanks also has a location on Commerce Way in Woodstock.
