Daily case numbers are the lowest they have been in months in Ontario, however the Province only completed 16,857 tests yesterday.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 1,039 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 524,950.
The Province confirmed 33 new COVID-19 related deaths this morning, bringing the total in Ontario to 8,655. Another 2,018 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 497,269.
The province completed 16,857 tests yesterday. We currently have 1,025 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 692 people in the ICU and 498 in the ICU on a ventilator. The hospital numbers are likely higher, as around 10 percent of hospitals did not submit data from the weekend. Most of the new cases are coming from hot spot regions with 325 new cases in Toronto, 231 in Peel and 77 in York Region.
