Daily case numbers are up today in Ontario, and so is the testing.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 1,135 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 527,180.
The Province confirmed 23 new COVID-19 related deaths this morning, bringing the total in Ontario to 8,697. Another 2,302 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 501,942.
The province completed 37,705 tests yesterday. We currently have 1,072 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 650 people in the ICU and 452 in the ICU on a ventilator. Most of the new cases are coming from hot spot regions with 316 new cases in Toronto, 271 in Peel and 75 in York Region.
