Daily numbers continue to drop in Ontario after the Province confirmed 1,172 new cases today and 1,745 recoveries.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 1,172 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 272,097.
The Province has now confirmed 6,395 deaths related to COVID-19. Meanwhile another 1,745 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 248,981. The Province has confirmed 106 cases of the UK variant of COVID-19 and 1 case of the South African variant.
The province completed 52,418 tests yesterday. We currently have 1,066 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 336 people in the ICU and 254 in the ICU on a ventilator.
