For the 4th day in a row, the Province of Ontario is reporting over 1,000 new cases of COVID-19.
ONTARIO - For the 4th day in a row, the Province of Ontario is reporting over 1,000 new cases of COVID-19.
Today, Ontario confirmed 1,242 new cases of the virus, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 85,897.
Ontario also reported 12 new deaths related to COVID-19 today and the total now sits at 3,245. Meanwhile another 821 people have made a full recovery, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 72,636.
The province completed 28,400 tests yesterday. We currently have 367 COVID-19 patients in the hospital and 84 are in the ICU. Around 42 hospitals in the Province did not submit their latest numbers to the Province this morning, so the total number of people hospitalized is expected to rise. Most of the new cases are coming from area hotspots with 483 new cases in Toronto, 279 in Peel and 107 in York Region.
