Daily case numbers are well below 2,000 today as the numbers continue to trend in the right direction.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 1,616 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 513,102.
The Province confirmed 17 new COVID-19 related deaths this morning, bringing the total in Ontario to 8,506. Another 2,502 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 479,630.
The province completed 22,915 tests yesterday. We currently have 1,484 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 764 people in the ICU and 559 in the ICU on a ventilator. Most of the new cases are coming from hot spot regions with 472 new cases in Toronto, 360 in Peel, 116 in York Region, 114 in Hamilton and 102 in Durham.
