We have over 1,000 more resolved cases than new cases today in Ontario and the number is back below 2,000 with over 60,000 tests completed yesterday.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 1,837 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 264,300.
The Province also confirmed another 58 COVID-19 related deaths, bringing the total number of deaths connected to the virus in Ontario to 6,072. Meanwhile another 2,900 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 237,871.
The province completed 69,040 tests yesterday. We currently have 1,291 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 360 people in the ICU and 271 in the ICU on a ventilator. The areas with biggest increases today include 595 new cases in Toronto, 295 in Peel, and 170 in York Region.
