Daily case numbers are back under 2,000 today in Ontario, with the Province also reporting 2,689 resolved cases and 27 additional deaths.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 1,890 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 518,980.
The Province confirmed 27 new COVID-19 related deaths this morning, bringing the total in Ontario to 8,579. Another 2,689 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 488,201.
The province completed 37,126 tests yesterday. We currently have 1,265 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 715 people in the ICU and 510 in the ICU on a ventilator. Most of the new cases are coming from hot spot regions with 469 new cases in Toronto, 468 in Peel, 165 in York Region, 111 in Hamilton and 107 in Durham.
