We currently have 19,300 active cases of COVID-19 in Ontario after the Province confirmed 2,202 new cases this morning and another 1,900 recoveries.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 2,202 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 160,225.
We currently have 4,188 deaths linked to the virus in Ontario, according to the latest data from the Province. Meanwhile another 1,900 people have made a full recovery, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 136,767.
The province completed 45,265 tests yesterday. We currently have 1,005 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 273 people in the ICU and 172 in the ICU on a ventilator. Most of the new cases continue to come from hot spots in the Province with 636 new cases in Toronto, 504 in Peel, 218 in York Region and 172 in Windsor-Essex County.
